Kitchen Assistant

Responsibilities and Duties

* Prepare meal components by washing, cleaning, peeling, slicing, and dicing a variety of ingredients, including vegetables, fruits, poultry, and meats. * Handle the washing, chopping, shredding, and grating of ingredients with precision and efficiency. * Maintain a clean and sanitary food preparation environment, adhering to all established hygiene standards. * Clean and properly store all cooking tools, appliances, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes. * Quickly and accurately move ingredients from storage to the kitchen, following the cook's directions. * Assist in unloading food deliveries and ensuring proper organization and storage of supplies. * Maintain the cleanliness of the food preparation equipment, floors, and other kitchen areas.

Qualifications and Requirements

* A minimum of two years of demonstrated experience supporting kitchen operations. * Ability to thrive under pressure in a high-energy kitchen setting. * Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines. * A collaborative team player with effective communication skills. * Strong organizational and time management abilities. * Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
