Head Chef

Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef with expertise in Shanghai-style dim sum, including Xiao Long Bao, Pan-Fried Buns, and Wontons, to join and lead our culinary team. Responsibilities and Duties

*Oversee and manage day-to-day kitchen operations for the outlet specializing in Chinese cuisine, particularly Shanghai dim sum. *Prepare and wrap dim sum items including Xiao Long Bao, Pan-Fried Buns, Wontons, and cook noodle-based dishes to standard. *Lead the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow, quality control, and food presentation excellence. *Ensure compliance with food hygiene standards, QA requirements, and Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulations. *Support cost control measures and contribute to menu development to drive product innovation and revenue growth. *Assist in staff training and development, including onboarding of new kitchen team members. *Perform administrative duties as required, including inventory, scheduling, and compliance reporting. *Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Management.

Qualifications and Requirements

*Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Shanghai-style dim sum preparation, particularly Xiao Long Bao and Wonton wrapping. *Prior experience in quick-service restaurants or high-volume Chinese kitchen operations is highly desirable. *Familiar with HACCP standards and able to meet QA benchmarks. *Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) for basic reporting and documentation. *Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. *Willing to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays. *6-day work week.
