Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled culinary professional to prepare delicious meals, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of food safety and quality. In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of food preparation, from initial ingredient prep to final plating, and will contribute to creating enjoyable dining experiences for our customers. Responsibilities and Duties

* Prepare ingredients by following recipes, which includes tasks like slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing. * Season ingredients appropriately and verify the taste before plating meals. * Complete the preparation of hot dishes through various cooking methods such as grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling. * Assemble and refrigerate cold ingredients according to recipes. * Strictly adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety guidelines. * Maintain accurate temperature and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs as required. * Ensure proper dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items to maintain freshness and safety. * Collaborate with the supervisor to contribute to daily, holiday, and themed menus. * Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment, food storage areas, and work surfaces. * Complete cleaning tasks according to daily and weekly schedules, including dishwashing and pot washing. * Listen attentively to customer feedback and suggestions, resolving complaints within your scope and escalating complex issues to the supervisor. * Implement approved suggestions to enhance the dining experience. * Participate in and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving service quality and employee productivity. * Keep work areas, utensils, and equipment clean and organized. * Develop innovative menu items while enhancing existing recipes. * Manage kitchen expenses, food costs, inventory, and staffing within budget constraints. * Prepare authentic North Indian cuisine. * Work flexible shifts as required. * Assist with all aspects of food preparation and the serving of meals to customers. * Supervise a team to ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen and service areas. * Ensure strict compliance with all food, health, and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Proven experience in preparing a variety of dishes, demonstrating proficiency in different cooking techniques. * A strong understanding of proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, including HACCP principles. * Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently. * Excellent knife skills and experience with various food preparation techniques. * Ability to work collaboratively with a team and contribute to menu development. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and managing food inventory. * Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues and address customer feedback. * Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently in a potentially fast-paced environment. * Knowledge and experience in preparing North Indian food is essential. * Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings and weekends. * Prior experience in supervising a small kitchen team is desirable. * A commitment to upholding high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction.
