Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate head chef, with a specialization in Punjabi cuisine, to oversee operations in the section of our kitchen. You will be responsible for the preparation, presentation, and consistency of kitchen in accordance with our menu and brand standards. This role demands a high level of culinary expertise, strong attention to detail, and strict adherence to hygiene protocols.

Responsibilities and Duties

Kitchen Operations & Culinary Execution *Lead daily kitchen operations in the section, particularly focusing on Punjabi-style dishes. *Prepare and cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation. *Ensure that all dishes strictly follow recipes and plating guidelines while honoring traditional flavors. *Maintain high standards for visual appeal, ensuring each dish meets our presentation and quality benchmarks. Hygiene & Food Safety *Ensure the kitchen environment complies with local health and safety regulations. *Handle and store food with care to maintain freshness, quality, and safety of ingredients. *Enforce cleanliness protocols throughout your section, ensuring sanitary cooking and prep practices at all times. Team Collaboration & Adaptability *Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to promote an efficient and supportive work environment. *Assist in training junior kitchen staff and monitor their performance. *Be open and responsive to additional responsibilities as assigned by the Head Chef, adapting as kitchen needs evolve.

Qualifications and Requirements

*Minimum 3–5 years of experience in preparing Punjabi cuisine in a professional kitchen. *Deep knowledge of Western spices, cooking methods, and regional specialties. *Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced kitchen. *High level of hygiene awareness and food safety practices. *Excellent communication and leadership skills. *Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
