Retail Operations Manager

Description

We are seeking a Retail Operations Manager to lead a team of retail assistants and ensure smooth store operations. You will be responsible for driving sales within your product category, managing inventory, and overseeing housekeeping and merchandising. Key duties include maintaining stock levels, assisting with merchandise displays, and ensuring the store and stock areas are organized. You will also handle payment processing, including cash and credit card transactions, and manage customer refunds with professionalism and courtesy. Outstanding customer service and strong selling skills are essential in this role.

Responsibilities and Duties

Lead and supervise a team of retail assistants to ensure efficient store operations. Oversee sales performance for your designated product category. Manage inventory, housekeeping, and merchandising tasks. Provide exceptional customer service and selling support, ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked and merchandise is displayed or organized effectively. Process payments, including cash and credit card transactions, by accurately totaling purchases. Handle customer refunds with courtesy and professionalism.

Qualifications and Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in retail management or a similar leadership role. Strong knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and sales processes. Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to engage and assist customers effectively. Proficient in handling cash and credit card transactions, with attention to detail. Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team to achieve sales and operational goals. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Professional and courteous demeanor, especially when handling customer refunds or complaints. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
