Description

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef with expertise in North Indian cuisine to join a restaurant in Boat Quay. The role requires strong knowledge of curries, naan, and North Indian dishes, along with the ability to manage daily kitchen operations, supervise staff, and maintain high culinary standards. Responsibilities and Duties

* Prepare authentic North Indian curries, naan, and traditional dishes * Plan and oversee food preparation and culinary activities * Create and update menus that meet quality standards * Estimate food requirements and manage food and labor costs * Supervise and train kitchen staff * Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs * Recruit and manage kitchen team members * Ensure nutrition, sanitation, and workplace safety standards are met * Perform administrative tasks including payroll and timekeeping * Maintain a professional and collaborative working environment

Qualifications and Requirements

* At least 4 years of professional experience in North Indian cuisine * Strong knowledge of curries, naan, and regional North Indian dishes * Proven ability to supervise and train kitchen staff * Experience in cost management and menu development * Professional, reliable, and solution-oriented approach
