Responsibilities and Duties

- Design and develop authentic Chinese cuisine menus, focusing on traditional and specialty Chinese BBQ dishes - Innovate new dishes while preserving culinary authenticity - Oversee preparation, marination, roasting, and grilling of Chinese BBQ items - Manage specialized BBQ equipment and implement standardized procedures - Supervise daily kitchen operations and ensure adherence to hygiene and safety standards - Recruit, train, and lead kitchen staff in Chinese cuisine and BBQ techniques - Ensure high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation - Collaborate with front-of-house teams to enhance customer experience - Manage kitchen budgets, source ingredients, and control food costs - Stay updated on culinary trends and introduce creative, authentic dishes

Qualifications and Requirements

- 8–10 years of professional experience in Chinese cuisine, including 3–5 years specializing in Chinese BBQ - Expertise in traditional Chinese cooking techniques and BBQ - Formal culinary training or certifications preferred; knowledge of HACCP highly desirable - Leadership experience in managing and mentoring kitchen teams - Proven menu development and creativity skills - Strong attention to detail in food quality, presentation, and safety - Experience in budgeting, cost control, and waste reduction - Deep understanding of regional Chinese BBQ styles and customer preferences - Strong communication skills with team members, suppliers, and front-of-house staff
