Sous Chef

Description

We are seeking a Sous Chef for a Chinese cuisine restaurant. The role involves managing both FOH and BOH teams, ensuring high-quality customer service, overseeing daily operations, controlling costs, planning and updating menus, monitoring food quality, and fostering a positive work environment. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years experience in full-service Chinese restaurants, possess strong culinary and leadership skills, and be able to work weekends and public holidays. Responsibilities and Duties

* Train, supervise, and manage FOH & BOH teams. * Ensure adherence to SOPs and high standards of service. * Monitor customer satisfaction and handle complaints professionally. * Analyse sales trends and manage labor, food costs, and overhead. * Oversee inventory, supplies, and equipment; ensure health and safety compliance. * Collaborate with management on menu planning and development. * Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards. * Foster teamwork and positive work culture. * Prepare reports on sales, expenses, and staff performance.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Minimum 3 years of experience as outlet in-charge with strong Chinese wok skills. * Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. * Passion for the hospitality industry with attention to detail. * Reliable, punctual, enthusiastic, and positive-minded. * Able to work long hours in fast-paced environments. * Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.
