Description

Set up the kitchen with necessary cooking utensils and equipment, including knives, pans, and scales.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Study each recipe and gather all required ingredients. - Cook food efficiently and in a timely manner. - Delegate tasks to kitchen staff and supervise cooks. - Inform wait staff about daily specials. - Ensure appealing plate presentation. - Modify recipes slightly to meet customer preferences (e.g., reduce salt, remove dairy). - Monitor food stock, place orders, and discard out-of-date items.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a head chef in North Indian cuisine. - Strong knowledge of curry preparation and North Indian culinary techniques. - Ability to manage and delegate tasks to kitchen staff. - Familiarity with food hygiene, storage, and stock management. - Attention to detail in food presentation and recipe adaptation. - Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
