Description

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Kitchen Chef / Line Cook to support food preparation across various kitchen stations under the guidance of the Head Chef. You’ll play a key role in ensuring every dish meets the company’s quality and presentation standards, while upholding excellent hygiene and safety practices. This position requires flexibility, a strong work ethic, and a dedication to culinary excellence.

Responsibilities and Duties

*Set up and prepare the assigned kitchen station for daily service in line with prep and hygiene standards. *Execute all food preparation responsibilities in your section, ensuring quality and consistency with established recipes. *Assist the Head Chef in preparing ingredients or dishes as needed across different meal services. *Practice effective portion control and strive to reduce food waste during prep and cooking. *Store all food items according to hygiene and safety guidelines to preserve freshness and quality. *Be flexible and willing to assist in other sections of the kitchen when required. *Learn all kitchen areas to allow seamless support and staff rotation when needed. *Break down and properly clean your workstation at the end of each meal period. *Ensure food preparation and storage areas remain clean and sanitized at all times. *Handle kitchen equipment responsibly and report any faults or breakage immediately. Equipment & Maintenance *Use all kitchen tools and machinery with care and ensure basic upkeep is followed to maintain equipment functionality. General Conduct *Arrive for shifts on time and in full, clean uniform. *Deliver polite, respectful, and professional service at all times. *Maintain strong communication with supervisors and fellow team members for smooth operations. *Comply with all local food safety, fire safety, and workplace health regulations. *Follow the company’s employee policies and safety standards at all times. *Keep a neat personal appearance and uphold high standards of personal hygiene. *Foster good relationships with colleagues across all departments. *Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and briefings as scheduled.

Qualifications and Requirements

*Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or similar culinary setting. *Strong understanding of food hygiene and sanitation standards. *Willingness to learn multiple kitchen stations and work collaboratively. *Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and standard procedures accurately. *Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment. *Positive attitude with a passion for food and quality service.
