ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER

Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to lead the daily operations of our restaurant. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing operational plans, supervising team performance, and driving profitability. You will also play a key role in training and developing our management and staff, ensuring we consistently deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Plan, review, and manage inventory, making purchases and stocking based on sales volume. * Oversee cash management, ensuring accuracy through checks on cash float, change, documentation, and collections. * Plan and manage staff scheduling and deployment to maximize efficiency. * Develop, organize, and implement a comprehensive training system for all staff and management trainees. * Evaluate service processes and recommend enhancements in collaboration with kitchen operations. * Collaborate with kitchen operations to plan staffing needs per shift and arrange backups. * Prepare long-term staffing plans, including schedules and hiring, based on demand forecasts, holiday planning, employee movement, and attrition, and advise senior management on staffing projections. * Implement marketing initiatives based on the established marketing plan. * Support the recruitment of restaurant staff. * Enforce operational standards and manage restaurant operating costs to ensure profitability. * Cultivate strong relationships with landlords, suppliers, and relevant authorities. * Monitor restaurant quality, service, cleanliness, and value. * Oversee operations to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, safety regulations, and company policies. * Manage quality control activities in accordance with quality assurance standards and procedures. * Investigate the causes of customer complaints. * Determine and implement corrective actions to address unsafe or non-compliant conditions and behaviors related to personal and food safety. * Lead the team by providing guidance, support, and motivation. * Train and develop assistant managers, service staff, kitchen staff, and other relevant staff. * Conduct team management activities, including performance appraisals and handling disciplinary matters, in conjunction with immediate supervisor. * Conduct performance reviews and create personal improvement plans for team members, in collaboration with immediate supervisor.

* Proven experience in restaurant management. * Strong leadership and team management skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. * Solid understanding of restaurant operations and financial management. * Ability to ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards. * Problem-solving skills and the ability to implement corrective actions. * A proactive and results-oriented approach.
