Description

A semi-fine dining restaurant specializing in Shanghai cuisine is hiring a Head Chef to oversee culinary operations with a focus on Shanghai Dim Sum. The role requires strong expertise in Xiao Longbao, Pan-fried Buns, Wonton, and noodle dishes, with responsibilities spanning kitchen leadership, food cost management, hygiene compliance, and staff training. Responsibilities and Duties

* Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations * Oversee preparation of Shanghai Dim Sum and other signature dishes * Maintain food hygiene standards and meet regulatory QA requirements * Plan and launch new menu items to support sales growth * Manage food cost control and monitor ingredient usage * Train and develop junior kitchen staff * Handle corporate administrative duties and reporting * Perform additional tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications and Requirements

* At least 5 years of experience in Shanghai Dim Sum (Xiao Longbao, Pan-fried Bun, Wonton, noodles) * Proven leadership experience in restaurant kitchen operations * Familiarity with HACCP standards and SFA food safety compliance * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications * Strong communication, interpersonal, and supervisory skills * Willing to work 6 days per week with rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays
