Description

The Guest Relations Officer is responsible for registering guests during check-in, processing reservations, and assigning or blocking rooms. They handle front desk cashiering duties, ensuring proper credit and cash handling according to policies. The role involves effective communication regarding room status, tracking, and rates, as well as implementing guest programs and addressing guest requests. The officer contributes to improving hotel standards by collecting customer feedback and carries out daily front desk operations. Their primary goal is to ensure all guests have a positive first and last impression during their stay

Responsibilities and Duties

* Register guests during check-in, process reservations, and assign or block rooms as necessary. * Adhere to front desk cashiering responsibilities, ensuring proper credit and cash handling procedures are followed. * Communicate effectively regarding room status, tracking, locations, and rates. * Implement and manage guest programs, addressing requests and inquiries in a professional manner. * Contribute to the enhancement of hotel standards by providing valuable feedback from guests. * Perform daily front desk operations efficiently. * Ensure that all guests experience a positive first and last impression throughout their stay.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Previous experience in guest services, front office, or hotel operations preferred. * Proficient in English, both spoken and written; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric attitude. * Good organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Familiarity with hotel management systems (e.g., Opera) is desirable. * Excellent problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure. * Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays. * Positive, friendly, and professional appearance and attitude. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
