Description
We are seeking a Pastry Junior Sous Chef to join a luxury hotel’s signature restaurant in City Hall. The role supports the Pastry Chef in managing daily operations, overseeing pastry production, ensuring consistency, and contributing to innovative dessert creations while maintaining top food safety and quality standards. Responsibilities and Duties
* Support Pastry Chef in managing pastry kitchen operations and day-to-day activities * Assist in developing new pastry creations and seasonal menu items * Oversee food preparation, portioning, and presentation to maintain consistency * Manage stock rotation, purchasing, and storage in compliance with HACCP standards * Monitor kitchen equipment condition and report maintenance needs * Ensure sanitation, health, and food safety standards are met at all times * Mentor and guide pastry team members, supporting training and development
Qualifications and Requirements
* Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in pastry roles within hotels or fine dining restaurants * Strong knowledge of pastry preparation, food safety, and HACCP compliance * Excellent organizational and time management skills * Ability to multitask and work under pressure while maintaining quality * Positive team player with strong communication and leadership potential
